Home Theatre System Design & Installation in Austin Texas! The Homeowner had just closed on the home in The Austin Downtown area, and asked us to set up his entire Home Theater System, Surround Sound System, In ceiling speakers, In wall speakers, outdoor speakers, Component hook up, TV Mounting Installation on the fireplace, etc. This project took most of the day for Adam and I, but it was nice to see all of the rain and wind through the huge windows that overlooked a large oak tree from the third story. Anyway, in the family room, we mounted his TV above the fireplace and ran the Audio Video wiring through the wall to the side of the fireplace where the components were to be placed. In the same room, we installed NHT high powered 5.1 speaker system. We installed the speakers into the 12 foot ceiling.
The next floor above was the master bedroom where we installed a volume control box(radio frequency) and 2 in ceiling speakers. This allows the receiver on the 1st floor to play into that “zone” on the second floor. The DENON 890 model receiver that we used allows the capability to have 2 different “zones” playing different outputs at the same time. Capitol Audio Video gets all Receivers, Speakers, Wall Mounts, HDMI Cables, etc. for less than retail prices due to our long standing relationships with our local wholesalers.
Next we took it to the 3rd floor where we installed an Infrared Volume Control Box and 2 outdoor speakers on the balcony that had a great view of downtown Austin. They wanted to speakers there for dinner parties and its also a great place to relax. The infrared volume control allows the homeowner to control the receiver from that floor as well to keep from walking three flights of stairs. The remote that we recommended was the Logitek 890 pro so that the homeowner could control the DENON 890 receiver and all sounds, etc. from anywhere in the Home. In addition to that, we installed a 12″ subwoofer in the downstairs houston theatre room, a 52″ Samsung 1080p HDTV.
We also included a 15 pin VGA cable for Dirk to hook up his laptop computer to the 52″ TV in the evenings when he got home from work. This allowed him to have a large screen to work on and sit back and relax on his couch at the same time.
